Sheffield, AL (This may be obvious in my accent) How long have I been in Houston? Since the summer of 2014. Where did you go to college? Mississippi State University (Hail State!) for my undergraduate degrees and Texas A&M--Commerce for my Masters degree. What are my degrees in? I hold 3 degrees--the 1st is a B.S. in Chemistry, the 2nd a B.S. in Secondary Education, and the final degree is an M.S. in Physics. What do I do when I'm not teaching? I enjoy exercising (especially weightlifting), reading (fantasy novels or science) and trying new foods! Fun Fact: From June 2019-November 2019, I was living in Madrid, Spain! |
Professional Career |
My professional career has been strongly rooted in both chemistry and education. While in college I spent 2 years working closely with chemistry professors on our research in theoretical chemistry. During this same time I gained experience in education after being hired on as an NCAA Athletic Academic Tutor at my university.
Upon moving to Houston I was hired on by Westside High School teaching chemistry. During my 1st year I received two prestigious awards:
